Leonor was born in Lisbon, Portugal, but spent her youth in Brazil where she studied visual arts, music, and dance. She obtained a degree in Visual Communication from Mackenzie University and a post-baccalaureate degree in Arts Education from the Centro Universitário Claretiano.

Upon her return to Lisbon, Leonor began a career in advertising where she worked as an art director for several creative agencies. Currently, she lives in the United States where she exhibits her artwork regularly. She is a visual artist, graphic designer, poet, musician, educator and she is a Director of an art education company in Virginia where she inspires children and adults worldwide with her creativity.

“I visualize my artistic journey as a line, continuous and curious, like a river that explores its path without a clear destiny. A line that moves through different art forms sometimes taking shape using just one art field and sometimes blending into various art forms creating its own symphony. A line that gave voice to the child and youth anxieties, a line that followed the artistic growth through music and dance and inspired several series. A line that continues to follow maturity and it blends in different artistic expressions. This line was drawn in three different continents, described the multicultural experience, and illustrated the original roots. It’s this same line that contributed to many years of advertising, illustrated books and made poetry, created art videos, and follows the educator who inspires a new artistic generation.”
